This section of the Guangzhou railway lines are not electrified and the quantity of traffic is less.
I was standing around for about 20 minutes and becoming the local attraction (not what I had intended) when finally this DF4B #0737 broke the silence and brought this freight train down the line which leads to Guangzhou Nan.
This train was moving right along.
I believe this is the old main line prior to the bridge being built over the Zhu Jiang (Pearl River).
The 'new' double track line to the bridge can be seen on the right side of this photograph. At the moment, I do not know in which decade the river was bridged.
